Or at least, not more bad news. It's good with respect to the bad. News is relative nowadays, really.
My HCG levels from Monday were 234. Last Thursday they were 2600+. So they're dropping like a rock. This is good, as it means nobody's going to have to go do surgery to remove anything, and my body is doing what it's supposed to.
Yesterday when I was in her office and Dr. Jones was checking on things, she said my cervix was long and closed, indicating that whatever tissue was there had passed at this point, and all that was left was for leftover bleeding to happen. I had gone back to only spotting. Then the carnage hit in the afternoon, like whatever she'd done (I was a bit tender) had loosened up a few things.
Today I'm back to spotting again.
Dr. Stokes wants me to come in next Tuesday to get another blood draw, nothing else.
Thursday (the 25th) I've got an appointment to see Dr. Sherara. From there we'll see what's going on. Dr. Jones wants me to get an HSG test to see if my uterus has any abnormalities we should know about.
We're talking about taking a vacation to the Grand Canyon in April. It'd be nice to do something that doesn't involve kids somewhere. Right now it's too upsetting to really see them, and our usual Disney trip would just give me overload, I think.
